Peter Klucik
Peter Klucik is best known for his etchings of imaginary, metamorphic
animals. It is a style which he employs for individual etchings,
ex libris prints, and for illustrating books. Klucik studied graphic
art and book illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design
in Bratislava, Slovakia from 1981 - 1987. He was a student of one
of the most famous modern artists from this genre: Albín Brunovský from
the Czech Republic. There is an unique and playful spirit at work
in his images which make them easy to identify, though his work has
direct ties to the imagery from his native land that dates back to
the middle ages.
