John Brown

color woodcut, 15 3/4 x 11 1/4, 1977

This portrait of the great militant against slavery is uncharacteristically beardless. According to Wolff, John Brown only grew a beard while he was imprisoned before his execution. This print was reproduced by Wolff's friend Pele deLappe in the People's World.

$600 (last copy of this print in the estate)
