Borovitski's work seeks to extract archetypal forms and symbols from nature. Automatic writing, forms and marks within the work seeks to reveal a greater understanding of nature, ourselves and the universe in which we live.

His work is characterized by often dark, distorted forms, exaggerated musculature, and imagery derived from myths and folk legend.
