Yves Doare Many of Doare's works explore the what he has called "a kind of geological memory." Much like Michaelangelo, he explores the surface of the etching plate in an effort to explore the forms and figures that are suggested there. He is one of several French artists who emerged in the early 70’s for draughtmanship is paramount. The finely detailed line work of his prints is a reward for anyone who takes the time to follow them into the surrealistic landscapes he reveals.
