Progressive proofs for creation of Cotoneaster
This page documents the progressive printing process used to create the final image. The sheet is first prepared by printing a blank plate to condition the paper, followed by successive impressions from multiple plates. Each plate contributes distinct architectural, tonal, and chromatic elements that are gradually layered to build the final composition. Viewing the plates individually and in sequence reveals how line, texture, and color develop through the printing process.
