Sueño de La Sirenas II (“Mermaid’s Dream”) evokes the mythic symbolism of the sirena through the portrait of a young girl painted in calavera style. Surrounded by flowing water motifs and two surreal flying fish, she inhabits a dreamlike space where cultural memory, identity, and imagination intertwine. Fuentes uses vibrant color and spiritual iconography to explore transformation, resilience, and the power of inner mythology.
