Katherine Venturelli
Katherine Venturelli is a Northern California artist whose practice encompasses limited edition artist books, intaglio, and monotype prints. Central to her work is the use of symbolic imagery, which she employs as a universal language of archetypes and metaphors. Her compositions invite interpretation, encouraging viewers to find personal resonance within familiar yet mysterious symbols.
In addition to her studio practice, Venturelli is an educator and lecturer. She regularly facilitates monotype printmaking workshops for artists of all levels and teaches as an art instructor with the Los Rios Community Colleges. Her dual role as teacher and artist underscores her commitment to expanding access to the printmaking tradition.

Beyond her Northern California studio in Sutter Creek, Venturelli has also worked for more than 30 years at Joel Greene’s printmaking studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2008, her contributions were highlighted in the book 100 Santa Fe Etchers, affirming her place within a distinguished lineage of American printmakers.
