This sculptural polychrome effigy olla by Juan Quezada Celado takes the form of a stylized mouse, modeled in relief with an extended tail and raised paws. The vessel is decorated with Quezada’s signature geometric motifs in black, red, and cream, painted over a warm buff clay body. Effigy forms are less common than geometric ollas, making this an especially desirable example.

Excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Painted surfaces are strong and intact. Minor natural firing variations consistent with traditional Mata Ortiz open-pit techniques.
