A woman with an elaborate hairstyle, ornamental crown, and decorative jewelry gazes toward a small handheld mirror while holding a comb beside her head. Her pale, elongated face, delicately arched eyebrows, and vividly painted lips recall the stylized beauty of Japanese ukiyo-e portraits. The mirror reflects a fragment of her face, emphasizing the playful theme of self-admiration suggested by the title.
