Atmospheric abstract composition that evokes landscape through color, surface, and horizon. A deep field of saturated blue dominates the upper portion of the image, hovering above a textured expanse of pale yellow and warm earth tones. The subtle, uneven boundary between the two zones suggests sea and land, or sky and ground, without settling into literal representation.
Bozon’s use of etching and aquatint emphasizes material presence—soft gradations, scraped passages, and traces of pigment embedded in the surface. Small interruptions of red and ochre animate the lower field, introducing a sense of geological time and weathered terrain. The result is a contemplative work that balances abstraction with place, inviting slow and attentive viewing.
